An opportunity has arisen to join Kingston’s highly successful Resettlement and Support service. Providing active support to vulnerable households in temporary and permanent accommodation, you will be working with a range of statutory and voluntary agencies to assist clients to maintain their tenancies and settle into the community.
We are seeking to appoint, on a part time basis, a highly motivated and committed Resettlement Support Worker on a temporary contract. The position will focus on supporting a generic group of clients who use our service, including people who have mental health problems, Substance misuse, and a learning disability. People fleeing Domestic violence, people who are disabled or have poor physical health, or people vulnerable due to age.
Whilst experience of working in a local authority housing environment is desirable, it is not essential. You will have experience of working with vulnerable people. You will be a good team player with excellent communication and negotiation skills. Most importantly, you will have the skills and confidence to actively engage and enable homeless and vulnerable people.
