Approximately 65,000 hours of unpaid work by offenders is completed throughout Surrey every year which enhances the environment, contributes towards community safety and benefits local community groups, as well as helping offenders to reduce their offending behaviour and increase their employability. This is your chance to make a difference, encouraging and assisting offenders in rehabilitation.
In this varied, exciting and rewarding job you will develop and supervise offenders whilst completing useful work within the community. Recent projects include: Laying block paving at a Scout hut in Reigate, internally decorating schools around the county and some landscaping work on an open space for Runnymeade Borough Council
Applicants will need to demonstrate good supervisory skills, have the ability to develop effective working relationships with offenders, have good DIY/practical skills and effective communication. You will need to have a full manual licence and a suitable car available for work.
