As part of the Waverly Youth Development team you’ll use your skills & knowledge to work with young people through a Detached Project in the Sandy Hills area of Farnham. Working with the local young people to identify their needs in order to develop and deliver programmes and initiatives that encourage them to access their own talents and skills.
You will assist the lead worker in promoting and supporting programmes of informal educational opportunities to the local young people on the Sandy Hills estate.
Experience of working with young people in detached/outreach work would be desirable but not essential. We’re far more interested in your life experience, your empathy and your ability to relate to young people between the ages of 13 and 19.
You will receive relevant training and support to complete a VRQ in Youth and Community Work in your first year. The position will be challenging whilst very rewarding.
An enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure and POCA check will be required for this role.
