Runnymede Borough Council is looking for a Resident Involvement Officer to join the Housing team to provide a proactive Resident Involvement service to the Tenants and Leaseholders of the borough.
The main duties of the role include developing and nurturing resident engagement in the service, encouraging community initiatives and resident scrutiny across the housing business centre.
Another key aspect of this role is to access the more ‘hard to reach’ groups, in particular those from minority ethnic backgrounds and younger people, by using new technology where possible.
You will need to have experience of dealing with residents within the context of social housing and be dedicated to providing excellent customer service. You should enjoy meeting and helping residents to improve the Housing service and to develop initiatives within their local communities. You will need to be confident when delivering presentations to residents and have the ability to organise, chair and take minutes at meetings.
The hours of work are flexible however there is the requirement for occasional evening and weekend work. A full driver’s license and access to a vehicle insured for business use is essential for this role.
