Are you looking for a new opportunity to develop your career in Leisure? If the answer is yes Runnymede Borough Council has a vacancy for a leisure development manager who is committed to leisure and cultural activities. The post holder will manage a section that includes sport, play, youth, arts and health. Some services are directly provided while others will be in partnership with external organisation and agencies.
The successful candidate will need to have experience is a broad range of leisure development activities, a good knowledge of how local government works, the ability to supervise the workloads and activities of a number of staff and knowledge of the legislation and regulations that cover services directly working with children.
With a responsibility for the day to day management of the section there will be a need to be well organised, flexible in the ways of working and an ability to work to specific project deadlines. As a frontline service you should also be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and external contacts, have a good understanding of budgets and experience of report writing.
