In this important role, you will quickly develop expertise in the key areas of education and community care, impacting enormously on service provision.

You’ll be resolving a broad range of legal problems within a supportive team environment, delivering expert legal advice to diverse stakeholders and working closely with both internal clients and consultants. Reporting directly to the Principal Lawyer, you can expect to use your initiative to the full, frequently operating under considerable pressure.

A capable and confident newly-qualified solicitor, barrister or legal executive, you will be ready to play a central part within a progressive Council, serving a population of more than a million people. What’s more, you can expect an exceptionally high profile, as you undertake legal projects that are very much in the public eye – and truly crucial to the way we operate.

An enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure check will be required for this role.
