To increase the Council’s capacity to support ICT systems, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Support Officer to its Infrastructure team. The role will involve support, maintenance and administration of the Councils ICT Infrastructure, including second line support for the Councils ICT Service Desk, which is managed by the Infrastructure Team.

The Infrastructure Team manages the Council’s processing, storage, network, telephony and mobile infrastructure, and has responsibility for the development and administration of these systems.
The successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills. A thorough understanding of the infrastructure associated with service delivery via traditional application software and Web based systems is essential.
Working closely with the Senior Infrastructure Support Officer, you will be encouraged to utilise existing skills and gain support and administration skills in leading market technologies. Ideally you should be educated to degree standard and have excellent knowledge in some of the following fields:-
