Salary:£9.40 per hour + £1.16 pr hour in lieu of annual leave. (SP5)

Location:Redhill Centre, Redhill, Surrey 

Bank workers are required for Surrey Domiciliary Services. A countywide service that’s sits within the Children with Disabilities social work team. It provides a high quality support service to disabled children in their own homes, as specified in the child’s care plan.

This is s countywide service covering the whole of Surrey. Workers are matched to support needs on their skills, experience and geographical area wherever possible.

This is a challenging and varied role working with children with disabilities. Duties may include:

• Supporting within the home
• Enabling children to reach their full potential by accessing leisure and community opportunities
• Providing personal care, including manual handling tasks
• Occasional sitting service

Applicants must have experience of working with disabled children who have complex and challenging needs.

Applicants will need to be flexible and be available to work at some of the key times – before / after school, evenings, weekends and school holidays. Waking night shifts may also be available.

Applicants must be willing to undertake mandatory training, including NVQ 3 and be willing to attend meetings and supervision sessions. The Community Nurses or Occupational Therapist will provide additional child specific training where appropriate.

A full driving license and use of a car with the ability to travel across the county is essential.

An enhanced CRB disclosure and a Children’s/Adults barred list check will be required for this role.
