We are currently looking for an enthusiastic newly qualified solicitor, barrister or Fellow of ILEX, with at least 1 year’s PQE in Education Law who wishes to specialise in this field. Further training will be provided in order to develop your existing knowledge and skills, but a keen interest and desire to make a career in this field is required.
Kingston has a reputation for excellent education, and children and adult care services. So, as a newly qualified lawyer wishing to make a difference you will be drawn to this high profile post to provide top quality advice for a first rate “front line” service.
You will be based in the Litigation and Community & Education Services Team, whilst you will deal principally with education matters you should have an interest and willingness to handle community services matters in relation to both vulnerable adults and children.
You will need to be flexible and proactive in your advice to members and officers at all levels. You should also have excellent communication skills, and first rate professional legal strengths. Experience in advocacy is essential.
