Work is underway to create an exciting new credit union to covers the areas of Guildford, Mole Valley and Woking – Surrey Save Credit Union. Credit unions are democratically run financial co-operatives that are owned by their members and provide affordable and accessible savings, loans and other banking services to their members. This exciting project is being backed by a range of partner organisations including awards from the Co-operative Fund (which is funded by the Co-operative Group), Guildford Council, Woking Council and Mole Valley Housing Association.
A group of local partners is working together to make this happen. You will play a pivotal part in this, working with a Steering Group over the next year to identify and help deliver the support and resources that will enable our application to be made to the Financial Services Authority (FSA) to authorise the new Credit Union.
We are looking for a self-motivated and committed individual capable of making the credit union a reality.

If you think you have the skills, experience and commitment to get involved you will need to obtain and complete the application pack by calling 01483 541 711 or emailing sylvie@wavs.org.uk

Interviews will take place w/c 17th November 2008.
