Role Description:
Laleham Garden Project is run by adults with a learning disability in Laleham, Staines. We are looking for someone with horticultural experience to provide training and support to individuals to enable them to develop their skills. You must be able to work on your own initiative and meet the needs of this client group.

We need to drive this project forward and would welcome applications from people who believe in the concept of social enterprise.

You’ll work closely with individuals with learning and physical disabilities who work in a commercial garden centre owned by Surrey County Council. Providing on site support and training, you will enable the individuals to run the garden centre, whilst ensuring their social care needs are also met.

You’ll be a highly-motivated self-starter, prepared to work flexibly to fit in with the needs of clients. Experience of working with this client base would be to your advantage but what we’re really looking for is an individual who has a background in horticultural retail and who can transfer these skills to the running of a unique garden centre. Horticultural qualifications would be advantageous.
