The main purpose of this role is to provide excellent Customer Service to a wide range of internal and external customers and to delliver a high quality handling and resolution service to all customers contacting the Council by e-mail, telephone and face to face or any other mode of contact.
Duties will include managing all incoming calls on the Council’s telephone systems, covering the main reception- meeting and greeting visitors to the Council Offices and providing a professional Customer Enquiry resolution service to all Council customers in a timely and courteous way.
The ideal candidate will be educated to GCSE level with good language and numeracy skills and have experience of a reception, telephonist or a Customer Service role in a similar business using computerised consoles. Expression and communication skills are essential as are a warm and friendly nature and the ability to deal with new people.
Knowledge of Mitel telephone systems is desirable
