Customer Service Advisor – Temporary one year appointment

This is an exciting opportunity for you to use your excellent customer service, communications and assertiveness skills to provide a first class service in our new and expanding Customer Service Centre. You will provide help and advice to the residents of the borough effectively handling inbound and outbound calls and emails in order to resolve any issues that arise. You will also have the opportunity to provide a face to face service to the Council’s customers working on a rota basis on the main reception desk. Working to agreed customer service quality standards, you will be responsible for pro-actively taking ownership of calls and enquiries and ensuring their successful resolution.

With relevant experience and a good level of education, you will be able to demonstrate your experience of providing quality customer service advice both face to face and through other channels. Along with strong team working skills you will also be pro-active, empathic and confident. You will be able to demonstrate good negotiating and influencing skills along with the ability to perform under pressure and to high standards.
