Job Details

£13.04 per hour inclusive of 14% leave entitlement, increasing to 16% leave entitlement on completion of 5 years service with Surrey County Council.

Based at Farnham Adult Learning Centre, 25 West Street, Farnham, GU9 7DR.

Typically courses run over one, two or three terms (daytimes and/or evenings) as well as Saturday workshops. You will need to work flexibly to fit in with class requirements.

About the Role

A vacancy has arisen for a Craft Technician - Pottery - at the Farnham Adult Learning Centre within Surrey Adult Learning.

You must have previous experience of technician work or a subject qualification and be prepared to undergo training.

You will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Stock control and ordering of materials.
  • Maintaining a clean, well ordered learning environment.
  • Liaising with tutors regarding the processing of their learners' work and their requirements.
  • Using and maintaining essential equipment, for example, kilns in pottery/sculpture.
  • Ensuring Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations are adhered to.
