CIVIL ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

Salary:£16,446 - £16,866 pa (with possible progression through performance to £17,712) plus a market supplement of £2,100 pa.  

Hours:36hrs per week/ 4 days per week (between 8am to 6.30pm on a 4 week rota Monday to Saturday) 

Working pattern:Full Time, Permanent position

Our Council has responsibility for Decriminalised Parking Enforcement and we need you to work as part of a team, have the ability to work on your own initiative, be calm & confident in dealing with the public – sometimes in difficult situations. Previous parking enforcement experience or relevant up to date experience in a similar role is essential; you also need good interpersonal skills and relevant up to date customer care skills. In addition you will be working in all weathers patrolling both on & off-street parking restrictions, in all areas of the Borough.

Duties also include checking pay and display equipment, lifts and security cameras. Full training will be provided in the use of hand held computer & note taking. A full driving licence is essential. Employment with the Council will also be subject to enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) clearance.
