Location:Reigate Omnibus Building 

The postholder must have the ability to travel around schools in the SE of the county and occasionally beyond the immediate area. A full driving licence is required, as is access to a vehicle.

Attendance at evening meetings may also be required very occasionally and you will be expected to assist in emergency responses to schools which sometimes occur out of normal working hours.

Role Description:

The purpose of this position is to give professional support to the Local Education Officer (LEO) and the wider LEO team.

You will advise schools, parents and county councillors on a variety of education issues based on sound knowledge and research. You will also advise and mediate complaints.

For this position you will need ICT skills, a strong customer focus, be able to work as part of a team and have the ability and motivation to undertake delegated tasks. Diplomacy, confidentiality and a knowledge of the State education system are essential. A sense of humour also helps!
