Location:South West Area Office, Grosvenor House, London Square, Cross Lanes, Guildford, GU1 1FA 

Fixed term part time contract for 21.6 hours per week, initially until January 2011 with possibilty of extension. Post will be relocating to Quadrant Court, Woking in October 2010.

Our busy and motivated North West Special Educational Needs Management Team deals with the administration around children with special educational needs.

As a contact point for members of the public and schools, you’ll answer general enquiries by post, email and telephone regarding special educational needs.

In this very varied role, you’ll also liaise with other educational or health professionals and be responsible for ensuring the team meets deadlines as laid down by the SEN Code of Practice, as well as handling team general administrative duties, statutory assessments and completing financial spreadsheets for the team.

We’re looking for a good administrator who can use their own initiative and work to tight deadlines.

A lot of your time will be spent supporting the team, so therefore you need to be organised and flexible and need good IT skills, along with the ability to work with a dedicated database, experience of Excel will be an advantage.

An enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure will be required for this role.
