Surrey Probation Area currently has two Area Managers, Offender Management and Interventions respectively. With the creation of a new post we are looking for a second Area Manager to work in the Offender Management Division.
This role will have functional responsibility for two Offender Management teams, three Surrey prisons and Public Protection.
You will have the skills to lead staff towards the achievement of objectives and manage performance and operational delivery. You will also need to have a substantial knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and be able to evidence successful performance as a middle manager.
You will need significant experience of managing quality and performance in service delivery, and the ability to guide and motivate staff towards the achievement of objectives. You will also have the ability to identify targets; prioritise effectively; monitor progress; set standards; and take decisions where necessary to achieve set objectives.
