Runnymede Borough Council is seeking to employ an Activity Co-ordinator to deliver open access play, sports and games opportunities to children and young people in the Borough. Funded by the BLF (Big Lottery Fund), this post is offered initially for three years and would be suitable to individuals looking for a rewarding and challenging role in Leisure Development.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the importance of providing play and sport opportunities. They will use this knowledge, combined with outreach work to deliver a variety of different exciting leisure opportunities to children and young people. You will be expected to have extensive experience of working with children and or young people and the ability to manage your own work load. The initial six months of the project will involve working with the Runnymede Borough Council Play partnership and the Leisure Development Team, in order to deliver a variety of different pilot projects. These will take place in parks, open spaces, playgrounds, leisure centres and other existing provision.

This post is a full-time position offered; hours of work will be subject to seasonal fluctuations. This post is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and is offered on a fixed term contract for a 3 year period.
